Awards

Her doctoral report describes the merit of two Ph.D. thesis which is rarely attributed by the University College of London and the Institute of Education in London.

A question which I am often asked:
Why did you choose to conduct your doctoral research at an European Institution focused on Social Sciences and Economics rather than at a Business School?

This is a great question and there are three main reasons for this choice. One reason is the availability of wider research methodologies and trained interdisciplinary faculty. The second reason is that business schools do not challenge neoclassical economic theories with few exceptions and hire faculty with backgrounds on disciplines of industrial and cognitive psychology. These individuals have limited knowledge focused on the self and they neglect very important research questions useful to human societies, management and organizations. They overlook research from other disciplines mainly from sociology and education which is absolutely necessary to advance R&D in management science. The third reason is personal and at that time, London was the perfect location to be nearby the countries where I worked before and of my family of origin.
