FREQUENT ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Reasons for choosing an interdisciplinary 'Research University'

One reason is the availability of wider research methodologies and trained interdisciplinary faculty. I am aware that scientific journals have difficulties in finding higher level faculty who can perform interdisciplinary journal article peer reviews. Research Faculty also tend to focus on the quality of timeless research content rather than on metrics or citations.

The second reason is that business schools do not seem to be in a position to advance research and development (R&D) with few exceptions and hire faculty with backgrounds from disciplines focusing on the self usually with industrial and cognitive psychology backgrounds. As such these institutions, neglect important research useful for the progress of organizations and societies. They overlook research from economics, sociology and education which fields are absolutely necessary to advance R&D in management and governance.
